Atomic Vaudeville master post

"How did you score this?" Titus whistled as he looked around the dressing room. It was easily three times the size of the one that the Unicorn Murders boys had had to share.

"They figured all the girls could share," Alex shrugged. "We're all pretty much used to it by now. And we all get along pretty well, so it's not that big of a deal."

Titus turned back to her and grinned as she hooked her fingers through his belt loops and pulled him closer. He went with her as she walked backwards until she hit the makeup counter. He hung back as she turned to clean off a spot on the counter, scattering makeup bottles and tools and then hopped up to sit on the counter. With a grin, she leaned forward and grabbed the red tie he was still wearing, pulling him closer until he was standing between her legs. She hooked one of her legs behind him and leaned forward to kiss him.

Titus' hands found their way from Alex's waist to underneath her waistband, making her wriggle most appealingly against him. Alex yanked at his tie, loosening it enough to pull it over his head, and started to unbutton his shirt.

"How much time do we have?" Titus asked between kisses, undoing the laces on Alex's corset top, and licking a stripe from her exposed shoulder up her neck.

"Dunno," Alex was done with his shirt, pushing it off his shoulders. "Not enough to waste any on talking," she moved down to his belt.

"Good point," Titus abandoned the laces and mirrored Alex's actions, moving on to her pants.

When she wrapped her legs around him and pulled him closer, Titus winced when zippers and belts dug into sensitive places. Alex loosened her legs enough to allow them to get their clothes out of the way and reached into the cleavage of her top to pull out a foil packet.

"Like the boy scouts say," she winked at Titus and handed him the condom.

He started to open the foil packet when the door behind him crashed open and Dave barged into the room. "You two! Honestly, why don't you just go into town and get yourselves a hotel room?"

"With the schedule you guys have us on, there hasn't exactly been time," Alex glared at Dave over Titus' shoulder. "We haven't had a hotel night for a month!"

"It's the price of fame, princess," Dave wasn't swayed by her protests. "Now, I suggest you pull your pants up and get yourselves together. You've got fans waiting for you outside."

"Look, I know that bad timing is a skill you automatically get when you become a band manager, but this is getting ridiculous!" Alex slid off the counter and straightened out her clothes. She crossed the room in three strides and pushed Dave out the door, locking it behind him. "You and David might want to work on that, or you're liable to get hurt one of these days."

"Five minutes!" Dave shouted through the door.

Alex turned back to Titus. "Wanna blow them off and go lock ourselves in the studio bus?"

"We probably shouldn't," Titus shook his head, and pulled up his pants. "There are contest winners out there, it wouldn't look good for the label."

Alex sighed and walked back to the mirror, leaning down to check her makeup. She reached for makeup wipes and cleaned up her smudged lipstick, then held out the box to Titus. "You've got my lipstick all over you," she grinned.

Titus leaned forward to look in the mirror and grimaced. "I'm all sparkly, too." He wiped at the glitter on his face, and managed to get most of it off. "It looks better on you," he said.

Alex gave him a sidelong glance as she relaced her top. "I don't know, I think you'd make an awesome glam rocker."

"I'll leave the glitter to Oliver, thanks," Titus shook his head. "You ready to go meet our adoring fans?" He held out his hand and Alex took it, laughing.

Dave was waiting for them outside, frowning as he leaned against the wall.

"Next time you two feel like getting frisky in a dressing room, you should probably lock the doors," he said, falling into step with them as they walked down the hall.

"Next time you walk into a girl's dressing room," Alex whirled on him, getting right in his face, "you should probably knock first."

"All right, fine," Dave held up his hands, inching away from Alex. "I'm sorry. But you should really be more discreet. What if it'd been one of the staff? What if it had been a fan, trying to sneak a peek?"

Alex backed off and sighed, running her hand through her hair. "You're right. We'll try to be more discreet."

"Shouldn't we get going?" Titus cleared his throat and pointed to the door from behind which they could hear the shrieking of fans. "They sound like they're going to start eating each other out there."

Alex smoothed out her hair and reached for Titus to straighten his tie. "Let's go make some screaming teenyboppers happy, shall we?" Dave, looking smug, walked ahead of them, and Alex pulled Titus close to give him a kiss. "And we'll try to pick up where we left off later, OK?"

They lingered on the kiss as long as they could without Dave coming back for them and prying them apart. Alex was the first to pull back, biting her lip and taking a deep breath. Before Titus could say anything, she spun on her heel and walked through the door, setting off a new round of screams and cheers from the gathered fans. By the time Titus walked through the door, Alex was seated with the rest of Lasersquad Nemesis, and he was getting glares from Dirk and Ash for delaying them. He took his place and cleared his mind, focusing on the job ahead.
