music Monday – Disparition

I've been listening to Welcome to Night Vale, which is "a twice-monthly podcast in the style of community updates for the small desert town of Night Vale, featuring local weather, news, announcements from the Sheriff's Secret Police, mysterious lights in the night sky, dark hooded figures with unknowable powers, and cultural events." It's absolutely fabulous and contains pretty much everything I never knew I wanted in a podcast. The music for the podcast, other than the guest-spot that takes the place of "the weather" is done by Disparition, and it's an awesome mix of techno/electronic/ambient stuff that's excellent to listen to, especially when I'm writing or working. The Disparition website has a bunch of stuff for free download, and I heartily recommend you try it.

I was going to try and pick one tune to link to, but I can't decide, so instead I'm going to add a link to Disparition's SoundCloud page, where you can listen to a bunch of their tunes, including stuff from their non-free albums.
