This was supposed to be a Photo Friday entry, but with last weekend's kitchen reno and everything else going on, I didn't quite manage. Then it would have been a Music Monday, but I haven't actually had a chance to listen to a lot of stuff beyond the whirring of power tools this week, so that's not going to happen, either (and also, I'm still stuck on Disparition's Welcome to Night Vale incidental music).

The renos are done, and Mom and I are leaving tomorrow to go on a Czech/Italian/Swiss/German city road trip before she flies back to NYC. I'm not planning on having a lot of internet access on the way, because roaming data rates are horribly expensive and I've been advised to turn all data transfer plans off while I'm outside of Poland, so any pictures I take on the way may have to wait until I get back next week to be posted. But maybe there'll be some wifi on the way...

Mom and I went to Görlitz for the Altstadt Festival last weekend, which is where the photos are from. The second one is probably my favorite, and I'm very proud of the fact that I managed to get a picture of this dapper fellow. :) I'm trying to get into the habit of taking more spontaneous photos and just shooting photos whenever I have a chance to do it, rather than waiting for a Special Moment, so here's hoping it becomes more of an unconscious habit rather than something I have to think about doing.
