Wales!Picspam, Part the First
This isn't in any way coherent or anything, it's just a bunch of pictures to show you that I do indeed live in the fucking SHIRE. I'm breaking up the picspams because there are way too many pictures for one post. It's not totally cloudy and weird ALL the time, but it rains a lot here. Like, A LOT. Like, I thought people exaggerated about how much it rains here, but HOLY CRAP THEY WEREN'T KIDDING. It's still gorgeous and incredible and I want to stay here forever and ever.
This is the first glimpse of our house as you walk from the train station. It's an old house, full of creaks and leaks and drafts, but it's kinda awesome, too.
See? SHIRE. The first pic is the view from our window. Up on top of those hills, there used to be sheep, but I'm guessing they're gone for the winter now? Either that or the dragons ate them. The second picture is the view from the other side of the town, so basically that's behind our house.
SHEEP.
We have a spooky-looking cemetery! There was a funeral that day, so we didn't stick around to take pictures, but I definitely want to go back
Taff River in Pontypridd. I love and hate this picture because it's so pretty, but otoh, look at that blown out, overexposed sky! I still haven't figured out all of my camera's quirks. *sigh* I think I accidentally found the solution to the problem while googling something else, so we'll see.
And then there are things like this. This is near the Sainsbury's in Pontypridd, where there used to be a Brown Lenox chainworks that made anchor chains, hence the... ship? IDK.
And as befits the marine theme, seagull(s). They're fricking HUGE here, and where there are seagulls, there are very few other birds.

There should be a second dragon on top there, but some drunken douchewad broke it off. :\
There is actually a double rainbowALL THE WAY ACROSS THE SKY but you can't see it very well in these pictures. Curse you, camera!
