come back with your shield or on it, Spartan
So, naps? EVIL. I ended up lying down with a headache around 7pm last night, and then passing out and sleeping until midnight. Which is why I was still awake at 4:30 this morning. That and the chocolate cake Marta made. OMG so good, but also omg chocolate coma. I was trying really hard to reset my messed up sleep cycle, and start getting up early and going to bed at a reasonable time (ha!) but I guess that's going to have to wait for another day.
In the aftermath of the recent LJ fuckwittery and the pretty much constant stream of comment spam, I'm turning off comments on LJ. I've imported my LJ flist over to DW, so those of you who aren't over at DW yet (and come on, isn't it time you switched over, or at least crossposted? please? join us, we have cookies!) can comment using your OpenIDs. I might enable the comments again at some point, but IDK.
Roommate fuckwittery update: after I made that post about the door being unlocked and stuff, some of them came downstairs to bug Marta and me about joining them, and I ended up going upstairs and "partying" with them, mainly to keep an eye on the situation and make sure they were OK, since there were two girls and four guys there, and ended up being the one to get the guys to leave, two hours later. I wish we'd been able to get things under control a bit more quickly, before the guys started stripping down and flashing us, but... *hands*
Marta and I were both so fucking furious with the one dude whose friends the other dudes were. He does this every fucking time, drinks like a goddamn fish and then does stupid shit that he expects to be able to get away with. This time he went too far, though, and AFAIK, even the girls aren't talking to him. Or he's not talking to them, because he's being pissy that a party he was part of got out of control, and the girls' wallets and purses were rifled through, and wallet contents ended up being thrown out the window (IDEK). When we finally got him to leave, he was all huffy and "I don't like being accused of theft, and if the girls find their stuff, I'm not coming back here". YOU'RE NOT COMING BACK HERE ANYWAY, ASSHAT. There weren't actually any accusations made, other than "this was your idea, and look at the mess you've made." ANYWAY.
The next day, the girls actually initiated the "serious talk" we were planning on having with them. They were both were very apologetic and contrite, and thanked me for stepping in on a situation they admitted they'd lost control of. We had a talk, and atm everything is mostly OK, although I wonder how long it's going to last. Friday night's usually a party night for them, so we'll see if they'll stick to the "no more big parties" resolution or not.

Also got my fingers crossed for you that your roommates got some sense knocked into them.

It's Friday night and they both went out. Marta and I are bracing ourselves, just in case.

Fff. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst, I guess. :/

At this point, I'm just about ready to go to bed, so unless they come back with a herd of people in the next 20 minutes or so, I really don't give a shit about them anymore. *sigh* This is why Marta and I wanted to live on our own, so we wouldn't have shit like that to put up with.

Well, there's only a few more months of living there, right?

Ugh, the whole roommate situation is ridiculous, but hopefully this did finally knock some sense into them.
